Strategy. Story. Systems.

Most organizations I work with are navigating something complicated. Diverse audiences, sensitive subject matter, stakeholder politics, or terminology that means different things depending on who's in the room. That's exactly where I do my best work.

Principles

What guides the work:

Creative and operational are not opposites. Standards and guardrails make work easier, keeping us on track rather than forcing us into a box. I balance crafting the message with building the systems that make it repeatable, consistent, and scalable across teams, channels, and audiences.

Clarity over cleverness. A message is only effective if it's understood. I persist until every project is clear, specific, and honest, no matter how complex, technical, or politically sensitive the subject matter.

Context changes everything. Who you're talking to shapes everything about how you say it. I bring genuine curiosity to understanding audiences: their knowledge, expectations, terminology, and motivations. All before a single word is written.

Stories should reflect the people they're about. Instead of describing communities from the outside, I seek out authentic details, prioritize subject voice, and apply ethical storytelling standards so every story reflects the dignity, complexity, and humanity of the people at the center.

About Me.

I spent more than 15 years leading brand and communications strategy at Vitamin Angels, a global public health nutrition nonprofit operating across 65 countries. I grew from an early team member to Director, working in-house while functioning as part of an internal agency — supporting fundraising teams across CSR, cause marketing, and corporate partnerships, alongside program teams implementing work globally across multiple phases of organizational growth, two funding model shifts, and a near-20x increase in revenue.

I'm a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) who pairs creative direction with operational discipline. For me, strategy, storytelling, and execution aren't separate workstreams; they move together, or they don't work.

I'm based in Oregon's Willamette Valley, where I recharge on trails and windswept beaches. Travel has shaped how I see the world and the work I do, deepening my commitment to authentic, respectful storytelling and the communities it represents.
